Michael Farrier

Michael has over 40 year's experience working with a wide cross section of New Zealand industry (chemical, meat, aluminium, risk management and cement) in process engineering, production and senior environmental management roles.

He spent 3 years with the Department of Health providing advice on potable water supplies, waste water treatment, solid waste and atmospheric emissions.

Michael is a Chartered Professional Engineer with a Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering and Post Graduate Diploma in Environmental Science & Technology.

Paul Barrett

Paul has over 25 year’s technical experience in the manufacturing and industrial environment.

His initial roles involved working as an industrial chemist with a focus on raw material and product verification, soil, herbage, water and air analysis.

Paul has also spent over twelve years providing Health Safety, Quality and Environmental management services including the development of systems and auditing to various international and local standards.

Paul has also helped in the development of a number of tools and resources to help business understand environmental management for local, regional and government agencies.

Paul’s qualifications include a New Zealand Certificate in Science (Chemistry), a Post Grad Diploma in Applied Environmental Technology and a Masters of Professional Studies in Environmental Management.

Bryan Graham

Bryan Graham has worked in the field of Quality Management since 1990. In this time he has designed and implemented a number of management and quality systems for various organisations. In the field of Environmental Management Bryan’s most notable achievement would be the implementation of an Environmental Management System into the Telco Group in Australia

He has a Civil and Industrial Engineering Degree coupled with a Business Studies Degree Majoring in Economics. This has given him an invaluable insight into how things work at both the ‘coalface’ and the ‘boardroom table’ of an organisation. Along with this he is also a Lead Auditor in the fields of Quality, Safety, Environmental and Rail Safety.

Bryan is known for his conscientious approach to auditing and is both process and methods driven and has a sound commitment to making sure that actions reach and deliver on stipulated results.

Marié Wimmers

Marié Wimmers started her professional career in bio-medical laboratories (human genetics and in vitro fertilisation), moved on to pharmaceutical testing (toxicology and embryology), ten years of quality management of various operations at the South African Science Council (CSIR) – including the National Metrology Laboratory and the craft poverty alleviation initiative. For the past five years Marié has been a quality and environmental management system lead auditor in New Zealand.

Her assessment style is influenced by principles and practices developed through studies of Research Quality Assurance (Cambridge University), Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), ISO 9001, ISO 17025, ISO 14001, ISO 14064 and Business Excellence Models (Malcolm Baldrige and SAEF).

Marie has led three organisations to formal management system certification and compiled a Business Excellence submission which won the SAEF Defence category. She holds masters degrees in medical science (MMedSci) and business leadership (MBL – UNISA).

Richard Saul

Richard Saul has been conducting quality and environmental based audits since 1992 and has been working for Telarc SAI since 2004. Richard began his professional career as a technician at Valmont Orchids Limited and has always had a strong affinity for environmental based work.

Richard has a Diploma in Agriculture, a Graduate Diploma in Quality Management and a Masters Degree in Management. He also holds qualifications and memberships to various professional organisations including Business Improvement Auditor Quality Systems (RABQSA), Lead Auditor: Quality Systems (IRCA) Environmental Auditor (RABQSA), National Evaluator for the New Zealand Business Excellence Foundation awards programmes, (2001 and 2002) and a Certified Quality Manager (NZOQ)

Richard has a thorough understanding of quality based systems and has successfully implemented such systems into many organisations.

Tony Bennett

Tony has been with Telarc Limited since 1991 and has specialised in education, chemicals and chemical processing and food industry management systems. He has tutored with the New Zealand Quality College and SANZ, as well as undertaking various assessor roles during this time.

With a Bachelor of Science and a Diploma in Teaching, Tony’s career initially led him into teaching. He then had a number of technical roles in food and agri-food companies where he also developed his interest and knowledge in management systems.

Tony has helped to develop, maintain and oversee technical aspects of Telarc SAI’s blue ribbon programmes namely ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management). Tony is also qualified to conduct audits across additional certifications including ISO 14064 (Greenhouse Gas emsissions).

Tony’s passion and extensive knowledge around the areas of ‘management systems’ and ‘auditing’ coupled with a strong belief that they can add value to your organisation make him an excellent choice of auditor.
